Bangkok is an exciting and bustling city to explore, even on rainy days.

Check out these enjoyable indoor activities that are fun and worth a visit even when its not raining.

Art in Paradise

Take fun and interesting photos alongside 3D artwork that looks surprisingly real.

Art in Paradise is located on the 4th floor of the Esplanade Mall and you can easily get there via the MRT subway system.

Jim Thompson House Museum

Showcases a well maintained example of traditional Thai architecture and the fascination life story of Jim Thompson.

Open Mon-Sun – 9am to 6pm

Address: 6 Rama I Rd, Khwaeng Wang Mai, Khet Pathum Wan, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10330


Icon Siam – Riverside Shopping Mall

A large and luxurious shopping center located on the Chao Praya river bank, on the ground floor you will find a fun selection of street-food as well as an indoor floating market replica.

Open Mon-Sun – 10am to 10pm

(Saphan Taksin BTS station, free shuttle boat service to Icon Siam)


Siam Niramit

Experience an extravagant live show about the cultural history of Thailand. Its a lascivious show including amazing sets, dancers in traditional Thai costumes and elephants all performed on the worlds tallest stage. (The location also include a Thai village replica and the show can be combined with a buffet dinner)

(Thailand Cultural Centre MRT station exit 1 with free shuttle bus service to Siam Niramit)

Open Mon-Sun.

  • Buffet dinner from 5.30 pm until 8 pm.
  • Courtyard show starts at 7 pm.
  • Theater show starts at 8 pm.

Shopping, fun and exploration around Siam BTS Station (Central Station) / Siam Square.

Going off BTS Siam station you have exits that goes straight into Siam Paragon and Siam Discovery shopping malls where you will find luxury shopping and and a large selection of restaurants.

On the 6th floor of Siam Discovery you also have Madame Tussauds wax museum, where you can see and interact with lifelike wax dolls of famous and historical persons.

In the lower floors of Siam Paragon you will find a food court with a large selection of different dishes at reasonable prices and in the basement you find SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World the largest aquarium in South East Asia.

On the top floors you find KidZania, a kids play-park where they can play pretend to work & earn money, as well as bowling and cinemas.

If that does not take up enough time, take one more stop up the BTS line and MBK shopping center and/or one stop down to Central World.

From Central World you can also take the walking bridge to Platinum Fashion Mall to shop for budget priced clothes and accessories.

Kids and Family Fun at Harbor Land Mega Bangna

Harbor Land Mega Bangna which is among the worlds 5th largest indoor playgrounds represents alot of fun play and experience opportunities.

Mega Bangna is a large shopping mall that includes IKEA on the outskirts of Bangkok, with plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment options including ice-skating, playgrounds, arcades, bowling and cinemas.
