Four of us visited Singapore and Thailand on vacation for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays on December/January 2023, and we decided to schedule an in-person cooking class and market visit with Mam while in Bangkok.

We met Mam at a convenient meeting spot near a BTS elevated tram stop in her neighborhood and headed straight for the market. We took a roundabout stroll through the stalls to see everything on offer, from clothing and haircuts to fish, frogs, pork, beef, and chicken and all kinds of farm fresh fruits and vegetables. Mam was endlessly patient, helping us buy some things to try and waiting while we took lots of pictures.

After we got what we needed at the market, Mam’s husband picked us up and brought us to their lovely home. Along the way, he talked a lot about their neighborhood and the economics of day to day life, including how the low daily minimum wage led eventually to the proliferation of street food vendors and small markets everywhere. It was very interesting!

Mam (with help from her niece) put us to work right after we arrived, handing out aprons and having us wash our hands. In a quick 2.5 hours, we made four dishes: Pandan leaf chicken, Thai basil beef, glass noodle salad, and Pad Thai Goong with shrimp.

Everything turned out beautifully, with particular favorites being the Pandan leaf chicken and the Thai basil beef.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Mam and recommend her in-person cooking classes highly, the next time you are in Bangkok. We plan to try one of her online classes after we get home, to continue our education in Thai cooking.

I booked a virtual cooking class for my husband for his birthday. We both love Thai food and regretted not taking classes when we were in Thailand years ago. We chose 2 dishes – one vegetarian and one with fish. The class was clear, instructional and fun. She is an excellent teacher and walked us through all the steps. We were sent a shopping list a week before so were able to buy everything we needed for the most part. The resulting dishes were delicious and we will definitely be trying again and perfecting what we learned. Definitely recommended.

My daughter and I spent evening cooking with Mam at her home. She was not only an incredible teacher but also a very kind, knowledgable and industrious lady with a wonderful sense of humour. We were lucky enough to meet her lovely family as well and gain a no -touristy glimpse into a life of a Thai family. I loved Mam’s no nonsense and determined approach about running her own business. Thank you again. If you can attend, do.

We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves Thai food. The market tour was great, definitely make sure you take advantage of that. Delicious & Authentic Thai food made from the comfort from our homes.
I bought this experience for my hubby and myself as we love Thai Food and wanted to learn how to cook it from scratch.
Mams recipes are authentic and divine.
Mam goes through each process step by step via a Google meet.

End to end great service and even better food. My partner and I enjoyed a private session. We made three amazing and authentic Thai dishes. I am en experienced chef and I walked away with an all new skillet and some new recipes under my belt.

Mam picked us up at the train station and we got to see a part of Bangkok that most tourists will miss. As soon as we got in the car Mam asked us what we wanted to make. We weren’t stuck with the obvious choice like Pad Thai (though that was an option) and we were able to venture out a bit.

Great experience!

We first we messaged each other to help customized my favorite thai dishes I wanted to make in the evening. The Market tour was great, as Mam would explain to me the different ingredients and what to look out for.

After we got picked up by her husband and welcomed to her home. She will build her recipe toward your preference and liking.

We started prep work, which was very hand ons where and she would explain what she would do and walk you through it. I wanted to do it myself and she would just guide me on the right method and technique.

We just had an amazing experience with Mam today on our private Thai cooking class. I went with my 8yo daughter and we were able to cooked a traditional thai non spicy dish where she could enjoy it too.

I got lost because the place was little bit far from my hotel and I ended up arriving 40min late. However Mam was super kind and understood our late arrival.

The market experience was good, food was delicious and we had a warmer welcome from Mam. I highly recommend this cooking class specially if you are going with small kids.
