We came as a group of 8 (they accommodated especially for us). Very funny couple, really enjoyed their company. They seemed like good friends we had just met. Mam is an amazing chef, and she makes cooking simple enough that those of us with very little cooking experience were able to make delicious meals. It comes with a ton of food, there’s no way to finish it all. Believe me, we tried. She sends all the recipes to you afterward, as well as pictures they take throughout the event. She was even kind enough to send me her personal recipe of one of my favorite Thai dishes (wasn’t listed as a dish to make, but she sent it anyway). Would absolutely recommend to anyone going to Bangkok. Was one of our favorite parts of our entire Thailand trip. (Originally posted on TripAdvisor)

The market tour was great with a lot of explanation on the vegetable and fruits. They took their time to explain all the different steps of the recipe and they let us do everything. Mam also runs a cooking class so you can be sure the food will be great ! Mam also let me help out with the cooking which was really fun. I enjoyed the experience and the food was delicious ! I’m so glad I chose this cooking class from Cookly. We were picked up by the instructor and her husband from the bearing BTS station right on time. They asked us if we wanted to go to the morning market as it was optional and we definitely wanted to go! They brought us around to show us where the local Thai people shopped; the veggie, seafood, meat sections. We really enjoyed it. Next stop was her humble abode! It was very cute place and very inviting! We both got to do 4 dishes each which was honestly a bit too much food. We brought back more than 1/2 back to our Airbnb. We made, pad Thai with shrimp, stir fried flat noodles with pork ( the pork was so flavorful! She said she marinated overnight for us), shrimp with glass noodle salad with pork, panang curry with shrimp, basil pork and Tom yum soup with shrimp. We legit made the curry from scratch using a mortar and pestle to crush the cumin, coriander and white pepper corns and red chili. All in all, I honestly highly recommend it. It’s a very fun activity with your loved one and the instructor was amazing. We’ve done cooking classes in Vietnam as well and this one was so much more personal. It was a real authentical experience with a lot of background information, bringing Thai mentality near to a foreigner. Mam and her husband were friendly and attentive hosts. We were picked up from the meeting point and the dinner was a private event at their home. I had a great experience, with lots of delicious food, and interesting conversation about cuisine, Thailand and other topics with Mam and her husband. I chose this experience because I thought the dinner party format might be a nice change of pace from the usual “street food tour around the city” experiences I’ve been doing a lot of in SE Asia, and I wasn’t disappointed. This was an absolutely wonderful experience! Mam and her husband picked us up and we went to the small local market where she explained different foods to us. Then we went back to their house where a table was set up with separate hot plates so we could both our own dishes at the same time. Mam was great at showing us how to prepare the foods and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food turned out to be amazing! We couldn’t believe we made such delicious authentic Thai dishes. We were able to take lots of photos and videos throughout the lesson and Mam even wrapped up our leftovers so we could have it for lunch on return flight home the next day. She also sent us pdfs of all the recipes the next day. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough! There are several cooking classes available in Bangkok… we feel so lucky we chose this one!
