Mam was very helpful and enthusiastic. Even after we showed up a little late (tourist issues), she patiently waited for us and met us with a smile. Her class was very hands on, and she gave tips as we all cooked together. She welcomed us into her home with the most hospitality and made us feel more than welcomed to be there. Mam and her husband were simply fantastic host. The small detour by the market was an experience by itself. Mam is a ‘pro’ and took good care to make sure we understand and participate in every steps of making these 5 recipes. The food was simply amazing, the best so far we ate in Bangkok. The cooking class was really fun and awesome, we had a great time. First we went to a market where the locals go, after that we went to their home to cook the most delicious thai food. With cooking you make everything yourself, even the paste for the curry’s. After cooking you can enjoy all the meals you cooked, and it was even better than in the thai restaurants! I HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE! We went to get our ingredients from the market, cooked the food, sampled as we cooked so we knew what to expect. I had great time cooking with Mam. We cooked Pad Thai with Shrimps, Green Chicken Curry, Spicy Pork Salad and Green Papaya Salad. She helped me adjust spicy levels based on my taste and shared the recipes afterwards as well. If book a day or two in advance and you can select which dishes you want to cook. Mam’s recipes showcases delicious Thai dishes that perfectly balances the five flavors sour, sweet, salty, bitter, and spicy. I highly recommend this experience. (Originally posted on TripAdvisor)

I booked morning class on the same day, so she had just 2h to prepare but she & her nice husband were both well prepared and super professional. If you are a solo traveler like me, then PLEASE JOIN this experience. And join it even if you are not into cooking. Mam & her husband are not doing this for money, but for their love of Thai and Thai food. After cooking you will also get a special list of recommended spots to visit near Bangkok – all the places that you never have hear of (only locals know) & the recipes of the dishes we cooked. From the moment i arrived to the chefs home i was made to feel welcomed A spotlessly clean house! I cooked 5 dishes i learnt alot the food is amazing and i got an understanding of herbs and spices used and why. great teacher i feel confident to cook thai food at home now after 1 private lesson chefs friendly attitude made me feel so confident in her home i would 100% recommend this experience. Amazing! An authentic cooking experience where you get to pick the dishes you cook so you can choose your favourites. Mam was exactly what I was looking for! She used to own a restaurant and now she invited you to learn to cook in her own home! She set it up for space to eat, drink from a freshly cut coconut, and everyone had their own space to cut & chop & fry! We made an incredible amount of food and were so stuffed leaving! Her husband took pictures the whole time and then sent us the pictures & recipes the next morning. In April 2019, I had booked with another class only to get cancelled on last minute. I searched for other classes and found Mam’s class. I am so glad that I found her!

Her class has provided me with a wealth of knowledge to make easy delicious quick meals at home. We went over four dishes, one of which she was kind of enough to switch out to one of my favorite dishes. She was flexible with cooking methods, easy to understand and patient with my slights mishaps.

Mam was also kind enough to throw in a quick demonstration for plating fruit into a floral decoration. Super cool! She made an impromptu birthday celebration that honestly was a highlight of my trip. Her and her husband (of whom I’m also thankful for taking all the photos of my cooking experience) were such a delight and I hope to see them again in the future!

Everything was perfect. I was picked up by Mam and Bjork from the BTS station. As I skipped the market tour, Bjork took me to have a short tour to the temple nearby. I learned 4 dishes in total (1 appetizer, 1 soup, 1 main and 1 dessert) in which can be chosen from the menu. Everything went very smoothly. Mam was very patient and very knowledgeable in Thai cooking. I The food turned out very delicious. I’m impressed with Bjork and Mam’s hospitality. I recommend this cooking course to everyone traveling to Bangkok. One tip will be to pre-book your cuisine as some cuisines need overnight preparation. (Originally posted on TripAdvisor)

We made a last-minute reservation for Mam’s cooking class (the night before), but still we were welcome and the communication was superb. We let her know what our favourite Thai dishes are, and we got to make those exact dishes! We had the best time with Mam and her husband. We learnt so much, it was fun and the food was amazing. Me and my daughter had so much fun cooking with Mam you can do as much or as little you want very personable no pressure since I am not very good at cooking

Before cooking at Mam’s house she and her husband picked us up at the suburb BTS station(approx 15 mins from Asok station
We first went to local market so fun it was a great experience for tourist since it was where normal Thai people shop
So many interesting produce and seafood, meat

This class was one of the highlights of our trip! Thai cuisine brought us to Thailand. What better experience than to learn to prepare Thai dishes. Mam was a very good teacher. She helped us buy ingredients that we can use to make our favorite dishes. The time spent at her house cooking was very educational and fun.
