What a great experience to have cooking class of my favour Thai Foods!!! We really had a wonderful time this kind of home style cooking class and market tour in BKK! This cooking class was amazing. Mam is such a good cook and was super organized. It was so fun to go to the market and shop for the ingredients we were going to be cooking with. We had such a good time. Of all the things we did in Thailand- elephants, tigers, waterfalls, temples- this was my husbands very favorite excursion…. I would highly recommend this cooking class! We had a great time, my daughter and I went on the train and it was easy to get there. Her husband was there to pick us up. We did not do the shopping part but would do it if we booked again. There were only 4 people in our class so we got personalized instruction. She was so patient and answered all of my questions that I was so impressed. I totally would take this class again. It was so much fun to finally attend a real Thai Cooking Class in Bangkok. The Thai dishes we got to cook were all traditional and very classic Thai food: Green Curry, Green Papaya Salad, Pad Thai and Sticky Rice. The actual cooking part started with us making the green curry paste, all from scratch by hand and it was fun to make it in a traditional way, but it also contained way more ingredients than I thought. Mam was very kind and funny while explaining the dishes and how to make them, also his husband who was very nice and cool. It was entertaining and we felt at home with Mam, I definitely recommend others to do this as well. It was a great value for the money and a fun experience that one will remember in the future. Having two teens travelling with us this was a perfect activity for all. 4 dishes in a couple of hours looked impossible, but not only was it possible it was enjoyable AND delicious! Highly recommend Ms Mam to anyone who is even slightly curious about Thai food. (Originally posted at TripAdvisor)

This was a delicious, great value and informative fun 3 or so hours. Collection and drop off to BTS made it really easy. The setting was elegant and comfortable. Mam the host and teacher was charming personable and knowledgeable. The market shopping at the beginning was fun and the food we cooked was ‘aroy mak mak’ (utterly delicious!) Totally do this! We had a great time, chose the option with shopping on a small market, were picked up at the exit 4 of the BTS by the cafe and driven to the market and the cooking premises. The preparation of the food went with good explanation and lots of cultural insights from both of the Mam and her husband. The food turned out well, made the paste from the ingrediences. What a marvellous experience. I spent a fabulous afternoon with such a delightful couple who seemed to able to answer every one of my questions and who were able to make me feel quite at ease. Mam’s skills and ability to teach was impressive! If you have a spare afternoon in Bangkok, do not look elsewhere – you have found exactly what you were looking for. What an amazing experience! From the pickup till the drop off I was hosted so nicely and warmly, I had a lovely time. The class is totally customizable and this was done by email in the days before the booking. The class itself was very interesting, I learnt a lot and I came away confident that I can reproduce the dishes prepared as well as others on the basis of what I learnt. I spent a bit more going for the private class but it was worth it as you have the undivided attention of the instructor the whole time. The cooing class was great! It was so much fun to cook together with my husband.
We met Mam & her husband – Bjørn, near Bearing BTS Station. Then Bjørn drove us to a large local market and Mam explained some ingredients to us and picked up some supplies for our cooking.

Before we started our cooking class at Mam’s home, she offered us the icy lemongrass drink. I love it in no time.
The class was well organised. First, Mam instructed us to prepare all the ingredients, especially how to treat the Thai herbs. With Mam’s step-by-step guidance, there was no difficulty for us to cook authentic Thai dishes. We enjoyed the food right after cooking.

Bjørn was very kind. He did not only drive us back to Bearing BTS station. He also sent us email to tell us what we can enjoy to do in Bangkok.

The last but not the least, they also emailed us all the recipes and the photos they took for us during the cooking class.

Lucky for me, I was the only student attending the class so I received a private lesson in affect. Mam gave tips on preparing the dishes including sharpening knives! The lesson clearly exceeded my expectations of what I plan to achieve in making green curry chicken. My husband and I had an amazing time cooking authentic Thai dishes with Mam! I was able to book the class within 24 hours and Mam and her husband were so accommodating. My husband is vegetarian and Mam ensured that he was able to pick vegetarian friendly dishes to cook.
The visit to the local market was fun and I was intrigued by all the various fruits, vegetables and meats.
The food we learned to cook was rich in flavor and delicious. We were able to cook a soup, prepare salad, pad Thai and another dish of our choice. Once all dishes were prepared, we were able to sit down and have a late lunch. Yummy! We received the recipes for all the dishes we prepared and memorable pictures of us cooking and shopping in the market.
I highly recommend visiting Mam when visiting Thailand. She made us few like we were home and now I can make authentic Thai dishes in my own kitchen back in the states. When we return to Thailand, we will definitely visit Mam again! (Originally posted at TripAdvisor)

I’ve tried my hand at cooking Pad Thai before, but without much success. Mam’s clear instructions and hands-on approach finally helped me achieve my goal! The best part was that I was able to replicate the recipe and taste even after returning to Singapore! We also learnt how to make orange curry, Tom Yam Goong and pomelo salad.
